Village Link can help you with transport to appointments where public or other transport is inadequate, unavailable or impractical for our clients.

Please CALL US. Your call will be recorded on Voicemail/Answerphone. One of our volunteer COORDINATORS will then book a driver for you, depending on availability, and will then call you back to confirm the appointment and give you a pick-up time.

You will NEED to provide clear details of the task you wish to be undertaken, time of appointment, address of destination, length of appointment (if at all possible) and any special requirements, eg a wheelchair or walking frame to be conveyed.

The COORDINATOR will give you all the advice and information that you need.

Features of the Village Link service:

· We need at least two working days (ie not including Sat/Sun) notice – more if possible

· You can book transport when you receive your appointment – even if it is weeks ahead! We will contact you nearer the time

· Accompanied children can be taken with prior notice, if a suitable car seat is provided for a child who needs one

· Wheelchairs and walking frames can sometimes be carried with prior notice

· The service is not restricted to a particular age group, or to those with a physical or mental disability
